Has anyone taken the road to perdition?

My wife and I will be travelling on the road to perdition this summer. Is there a best time to go? Should we expect crowds? Is the road paved or should we expect a rough ride?

Thanks in advance.

I've taken the road to purgatory a few times before. Recommend you refer to the post about footwear in Volcano National Park as the advice is the same.

Stay away from the road to hell, it's paved with good intentions.

No, but I've been to Purgatory, Does that count?

Will you be travelling in a handbasket?

We're on the road to nowhere, and we're takin' our time.

I took the road to Ruin. Had a great time on the way, but the destination itself is a little disappointing.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I-
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Unfortunately it was the road to perdition.

Took the Road to Rio. Sang, danced, chased Dorothy Lamour. Expect crowds and bring the old soft shoe.

I found that AAA's TripTik for the road to perdition was very helpful.

I've seen lots of celebs on that road. Come to think of it, they were all politicians.
