Has anyone stayed at the Empire Hotel in New York City?
 

I understand this hotel has been closed for 2 years and is now re-opened. Has anyone stayed there yet or walked by its location on 63rd? I have a booking for late September but am wondering if it is finished. I can't find any reviews online or pictures of the lobby, rooms, etc. Just partial photos on their own website.

Last walked by there several weeks ago and it was not open yet.

Is this the hotel right by Lincoln Center? Wasn't it going to be condos?

I work across the street, walk by it everyday, they finished the lobby but looks like they are still working on some of the lower floor rooms (or they have rooms w/no windows :). I've seen guests come/go, the doorman are very nice, smile and say hi to me when I walk by!

Thanks for the feedback. The lobby from the description in the article sounds interesting, to say the least! I will speak to them in a few weeks and see how far along they are.
