Has anyone stayed at Sheraton Old Town, ABQ, NM
 

Hi Everyone,

I would appreciate any opinions/comments good or bad about the hotel.

It's a Sheraton (which has good and bad connotations.) It's a big place. It's right on a main road. There is no "setting" - just a huge hotel surronded by parking lot.
Inside is nice. Rooms are okay, but nothing special.
Close to Old Town, but you have to walk aways to get there, and it's through some rough areas (so, use caution at night.)
It's convenient. And relatively inexpensive.

p.s. I was there 1 and 1/ 2 years ago.

Friends who live in Albq. warned us away from this place when we were visiting a couple of weeks ago. We had a fine stay there three years ago but apparently the place has gone to seed.

Boss was there for a conference not too long ago. Says its "okay". Kinda run down, not real clean. He was not impressed. Says the location was perfect tho.

Thanks all for your input. I've decided to stay tat the Sheraton Albququerque Uptown.
