Has anyone stayed at the following places in Sanibel/Captiva- if so could you give me a critique. I have looked already at Hotels on Fodors but get better information through Talk.
Jensens Gulf Resort
Island Inn
Casa Ybel
Waterside Inn
Sanibel Moorings

Linda, dear, how about the name of the state in your headline?

I am talking about Florida. I thought I put it under Florida but I guess i should have spelled it out. Sorry!!

I thought this was going to be a joke thread by GoT or similar. Darn.

Check tripadvisor reports. I've stayed at a couple of them but it was before the hurrican damage - and things change with time anyway.

Have you entered those names in the search box above to see if there already are comments on any of them?

I did check and alot of the information was from years ago. I was trying to get more current information. I have gotten some but would like to make a final decision so I thought I would see if anyone had anything to add. Sorry if I disappointed those that thought this was a joke thread.

linda, it's been years since we stayed at Casa Ybel -- from what I hear, they have remodeled (my kids fondly remember the pool there). I agree some of the information on these places are outdated.

Anyway, I suggest you just copy and paste your post but give it a new title, something like...

"Florida: Sanibel/Captiva hotels"

I'd be curious to see what you come up with as well. :)
