Has Anyone Experienced Using Hotwire for a Hotel in Key West?

Looks like I can get a 4 star (by their ratings...upscale) for at least one half the price of any decent hotels listing. Feedback?

I'd be afraid that I would end up in a property out on Roosevelt Road. If I'm spending the time and money to go to Key West, I want to make sure I'm staying in Old Town.

I don't think there are any upscale hotels on Roosevelt. I think they are all in town.

I'd be reluctant, too, unless you can find examples of what they consider "upscale."

We booked our hotel through Luxury Link.com for Ocean Key Resort. It was a "Best Shot" auction and we bid $50 over the minimun amount. They are not offering this at the moment, but there is an auction going on now for Sunset Key Cottages for 4 nights. I agree with Jean and would be hesitant to book a hotel without knowing which one it was.
