Dee, I don't think that Paul intended to chastise anyone. I think that he merely wished to point out that tourists who are greatly bothered by homosexuality would be more comfortable at a different destination. For sure, those homosexuals who live and work in Rehoboth will certainly be more comfortable if a tolerant and respectful attitude is maintained!

Yes, I have heard of Rehoboth Beach. I'd suggest going to a Delaware State Park as Rehoboth is packed on weekends. Look on rehobothbeachcam.com to see what the ocean, boardwalk and Rehoboth Avenue look like. What is with the gay issue? I have never seen open displays of affection from gay people in Rehoboth, I guess that is not really a big concern of mine. I'd suggest Grotto Pizza for breakfast too - they have a great buffet. Also go to the Sea Shell Shop, great souvenir/nautical place, 1 of the 2 has mini-golf on site. Go to the Rehoboth Outlets on Route 1 also.

My comment about the gay population in Rehoboth was directed at an earlier post that seemed to be critical of gays. To the contrary, I had no intention of criticizing gays. In fact, my brother-in-law is gay and we go to his house every summer in Rehoboth.

I believe strongly in tolerance and diversity, but realize that there are some who do not feel this way and may be offended by the presence of gays. Personally, I feel those who are intolerant have a problem, but respect their right to feel this way.

For myself and my family, we very much enjoy the hospitality and creativity displayed by many of the gay shop and restaurant owners in Rehoboth, as this is a main reason why we continue to return to this beach town.

Again, I recommend a vacation in Rehoboth!

Haven't been to Rehoboth in many years. If I remember correctly, the gay beach was the area below (I'm not making this up) Queen Street. Is that still true?
For anyone uncomfortable with the lifestyle, I'd say, just stay north of Queen Street.
