No opinion but Kirkland brand at Costco is a really good luggage. And Altman luggage in NYC carries Travelpro, the brand used by flight crews. You can look online at altmanluggage.com . They have free shipping.

Hi Sue! Sorry for putting this post on your luggage post, but I figured it might reach you sooner.
My boyfriend and I are headed to Anza Borrego in ten days and I just read your post. I was curious if you hiked any in the Anza Borrego park? If so, I'd like to ask more specific questions if you'd be so kind!
Thanks!
Elizabeth

Both my teens have Eagle Creek, the 21 inch roller suitcases with the briefcase-style carry on. They are great pieces - sporty, lightweight and very durable. We got them on sale for 50 percent off; I think the manufacturer had discontinued the color or style.

Great Stuff....I have the 19"...I think it is called the "switchback"....wheeled bag with backpack straps....and daypack....Lots of compartments and straps where you need them.
Take a look at the packing system items. That too is great stuff. Keeps things folded and helps prevent wrinkles...and the compression bags. By packing smartly, you can get alot in a small bag. There are several other quality type also, but I like EC.

We bought EC and it has been great.
It's the backpack with a waist belt to distribute some of the back weight. It also has a day pack that zips off. We pack both to the gills, unzip the day pack and both get thrugh as carry-on luggage they pack so well. We use these extensively in Europe so did without any wheels or such.
