HAS ANYBODY STAYED AT BALLY'S SINCE THE RENOVATIONS?

I will be making my first trip to Las Vegas and a friend of mine suggested that I might stay at Bally's. He had stayed there a couple of years ago and say it has a really great location. He also told me that it had since been renovated. When reading the post here on a search, I'm never sure if people are talking about before or after renovations, so I'm looking for opinions on Bally's since their renovation. Anyone?

Yes, and the rooms still smell like my grandmother's basement.

Apparently patooty's grandmothers basement isn't the only thing that smells, his answer stinks. I haven't stayed at Bally's since the renovations, but it does have an excellent location on the strip.

Hi; We stayed at Bally's this past summer in a room that had obviously just been renovated. The room was large and had a nicely done marble bath room and huge desk in the living area. It was among the biggest non-suite rooms I have ever stayed in. The valet parking attendents were very nice and there is no charge other than a voluntary tip for the service unlike at many other resorts.

I would definately recommend Bally's. It is also now connected to the Paris hotel thru the adjoining casinos. I have read that although the rooms a smaller at Paris the price is higher.

dejahma, you sound like my cousins from Arkansas, where anything is considered better as long as it's the biggest.
Quality? What's that.
Gimme the goldarned biggest ya can fetch up an I'll take it, thank ye kindly.
Split level rooms at the Residence Inn near the Convention Center are huge, with 2 baths and three beds, all for less than the price of Paris. But the 10 watt bulb in the shower is worse than a match, the carpet is cheap 1970's shag, furniture worthy of the second hand store and beds horrible.
You get what you pay for sometimes.
