To get to the Thimble Islands get off I-95 at exit 56, Route 146. Turn away from the Truck Stop (east) and follow Rte. 146 to the first four way stop. Go straight at the stop (Rte. 146 will turn off to the right.) Follow the road through Stony Creek. It will deadend right at the dock where you catch the boat tour around the Thimbles.
