The answer to that question could take a while.

Please refer to www.lvol.com and www.cheapovegas.com

Yes - I second the recommendation of cheapolasvegas.com. I went on there yesterday to check it out. It shows you a map of every single casino/hotel, and you can click on them to get more information than you could ever possibly want to know - from the kind of people who tend to stay there to what the waitresses wear!

I don't know what advice you are looking for but I generally stay in Harrah's when I go to Vegas. It is centrally located, is low on the theme thing- it's a Mardi Gras theme. The staff and dealers are friendlier than anywhere on the strip. The coffee shop food is mediore. the Range is spendy but has fantastic steaks and a great view of the strip. Get a chocolate soufflee for dessert!

I don't stay at Harrah's in the summer as I preferr the pools elsewhere.

There are 2 towers- Generally Carnival doesn't have very good views. The newer tower can get you views overlooking the volcano at Mirage, ask for that!!
