Hard Rock Casino Hollywood

Has anyone stayed at the new Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood. Their web site does not have a lot in way of photos, etc.. I would be interested in your opinions.
Thanks

I'm bumping this to the top because I'm also curious.

What is up with that website? You would think the Hard Rock people would have a better website.

This is Hollywood, Florida in case anyone else is interested. It is between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

I read about this casino when we were in Key West last month. It's apparently huge and elaborate, but it's not a "real" Las Vegas style casino.
The machines aren't the standard variety (no video poker, no regular slots), but are the same type as Florida Indian casinos. I don't remember what the table games are like, but when we visited a Tampa casino several years ago, the options were limited: lots of poker, bingo and maybe one other thing. Regular gaming isn't legal in Florida; it's relegated to offshore boats.

Susan, I'm pretty sure it is a Florida Indian run casino. Thanks for the scoop.

This casino is run by the Seminole Tribe of Florida and is very new to the area, only opening a few months ago. I haven't visited their website yet, but I assume it's not up to par because it is so new. It's the only hotel in the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood area that has any type of casino. If you check it out and don't like the gaming at this location, you can always book an evening cruise to nowhere just to gamble.

I'm staying there the first week of August. I'll let you guys know how it is when I return.

Although I haven't actually stayed at the Casino, I went there to drink and gamble in mid May. The outside is very pretty and impressive. Once you get inside it seems nice until you start to look around. Granted I was there very late night, it was not particularly to my liking. I will preface my statements with the following: I had only been to Vegas, Monaco, and island casinos prior to this AND they still seemed to be building the place. The gambling was not to my liking and the dance club wasn't finished so they had set up a ballroom with tables and tents, turned the lights off, put up a disco ball and turned on some music. The bar was neat, very similar to the concept in Vegas with the televisions inside the round bar. I had a good time, but probably wouldn't go back. HOWEVER, I have heard from people that the crowd and the scene in general have gotten much better over the summer.
