In a few weeks we're heading to the Bahamas for my husband's company's President's Club trip. Our family vacations are to Yellowstone/Grand Teton in July, and over spring break we're going to spend 3 days in Sarasota and 3 days in North Captiva. Also hoping we can arrange use of a friend's beach home in Cape Cod in late summer. Also, I've resolved to get up to NYC several times this year. We've too close not to take advantage!

Colorado for a long weekend in Feb. and Venice and the Veneto in late September. I can't wait- it will be my DH's first international trip.
Everyone has such great destinations. I hope no one minds if I steal some for my future travels list!

Vegas in 2 weeks. Gatlinburg cabins in July for a big family reunion to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary. It's near where they sent their honeymoon and it's centrally located for all the family to attend. Possibly Texas late in the year but no set plans yet.

Going to Phoenix, AZ in March for 5 days.
Winter break in Maui! Rougly 2 weeks.
PS- Smokyboy- 3 days in London, Paris, and Rome. It is like taking a taste of each type of candy, and then going back for your favorite another time.

So far nothing planned other than work trips to NY. They don't count.
If things work out ($$$), I'd like to head to England and Spain, where I've never been. I want to go to some of those great tapas cities in Spain, eat all day and shop for shoes. I'd love a return trip to Italy and France for more in-depth exploring from where I left off 20 years ago.
I'd love to see Seattle and Vancouver. And Anchorage, take a cruise.
I've been thinking I'd like to try the beaches around Veracruz, Mexico.
Let's do another post at the end of 2004 to see where we all went.

I posted this on the Europe board but here it goes. Monarch of the Seas cruise of Catalina Island & Ensanada in 3 weeks. NOLA for hubby's meeting in March- can't wait. Either Scotland or Budapest & Prague in May. Hawaii sometime this year, possibly a tour of the deep south this summer. 10 year Anniversary cruise in October Majesty of the Seas from Miami. And am praying hubby gets Christmas week off to hit NYC! Happy travels to all.

Taking our boys (ages 2 and 4) to their first trip to Disneyland in February, San Diego for a week in spring, and no travels during the summer... new baby expected! Hoping to travel to Homer, Alaska next Thanksgiving to visit dear friends. Nothing to exotic, but it will have to do, along with a few weekend trips around California.

Jan- Up to our condo in Huntington Lake as much as possible and a day trip to Yosemite. Dinner at Erna's Elderberry House.
Feb.- Three day trip to San Diego to stay at the Del. (A dream of mine!) Also a little business on this trip. Possible a stop at DL for the day on the way down.
Mar.- A business/ pleasure trip to the Sonoma/Healdsburg area. I hope to see the beautiful area of Healdsburg and dine at a few new places there.
April- Spring break trip to Astoria/Seaside, OR with a two-day tour of the Columbia Gorge area. Hope to see McMenamis and the Merryville Museum of Art on this trip. Also Silver Falls State Park. Work on our beach cottage remodel in Seaside.
May- Birthday trip to Napa Valley. I would love to dine at the French Laundry. A stay at the Villagio or our old favorite The Yountville Inn.
June-Business trip to Portland, OR. A stay at the RiverPlace Hotel and sight-see in Portland. A stop in Sauvie Island to pick up some beautiful flowers and fresh blueberries. (We pick our own!!)
July- More time up at the condo sailing, kayaking, etc. Kids bring all their friends up. Day trips to Cambria and Paso Robles.
August-Oct. High School water polo season. We don't get to do too much during this time. We are at the pool A Lot!! The team is alrady training to be Valley Champs next season!! (Yes, she swims in the freezing cold weather here!!) Brr.....
Nov.-Dec. Anniversary trip to Palm Springs which was postponed this year. I have yet to see PS so this will be fun!! It's fairly researched but I learn new things all the time!!
Aside from these trips, my daughter is begging to go to Scottsdale, AZ. My two sons would love to go to Maui for a few days. They really miss going over to visit family there.
The first two weeks of August we will be going to Astoria/Seaside again. We will be traveling to Seattle as well to do a show there. We would love to see the San Juan Islands this trip. Hubby's aunt owns The Kangaroo House on Orcas Island. Would be a nice visit. Happy Travels to everyone on this board!! ***kim***

Maybe a week in Hong Kong in February. If we don't make that trip someplace warm for a long weekend in February or March.
Eastern Europe in September, possibly with stops in London, Amseterdam or Berlin.
Liverpool in the UK for a football weekend, most likely in November.
Berlin or Hong Kong in December.

Wow I'm jealous. A lot of extensive travels this year. I see a lot of fodorites take a minimum of 2 vacations a year. We like to squeeze in 2 ourselves. Sometimes if we are lucky we can sqeak in 3. I love to go to Maui. It's expensive but well worth it!!
Happy travels to all!! We all are very fortunate to be able to travel.
