Ain't that America, something to see baby;

Ain't that America, home of the free;

Little pink houses for you and me."

..."I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival... It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward for evermore."

John Adams writing about the 1st Independence Day, in a letter to Mrs. Adams, July 3, 1776

We are given freedom, liberty and justice. We can pursue happiness that is not a given. We have the choice to be happy because of our freedoms!!
Red white and Blue. Seperate their all normal colors, but put together is a symbol of a wonderful country!!

"The moment I heard of America I loved her; the moment I knew she was fighting for freedom I burnt with a desire of bleeding for her; and the moment I shall be able to serve her, at any time, or in any part of the world, will be the happiest of my life."

Marquis de Lafayette, a 19 year old rich kid from France. Without his help, this would be a different country today. His given name was Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roche Gilbert du Motier.

An internal SEC memo concluded Mr Bush had broken the law but decided not to charge him. "This, everyone insists, had nothing to do with the fact his father was president."

Ninety-eight percent of the adults in this country are decent, hard-working, honest Americans. It's the other lousy two percent that get all the publicity--but then, we elected them.

I am cat sitting for a friend, while she is back in the states on business. When she showed me where she lives, I noticed all the cars in the block of houses had US military tags on them. I commented on that and the lady replied " I know, if I wanted to have American neighbors, I would live in America". Evidently, she has lived there for quite some time and wasn't happy that her block became leased housing for the military. I agree with her whole heartedly...which is why I too, live in Germany as do lots of other expats, who are not in the military.
