I understand there is a beautiful view from the 95th floor but would the obsevation deck be better for photo taking?

I would say yes, to the ob deck being better. I've had lunch at 95th, but you can walk around and get a better view from the ob deck, IMO.

flowerpatch, the view from 95th floor is pretty good, correct. See http://tinyurl.com/5p43gd. However, as simpsonc510 says, it ob deck gives you an opportunity to walk around. Signatureroom's food is okay given the price but perhaps not so bad to experience the ambiance too (the view while eating)?

The 96th Signature Lounge is the place to be.
