Can anyone give me a review of the Hanalei Bay Resort? Were you pleased with the accomodations and the value? How far is it from Lihue? Thanks

Jim... <BR>My wife and I stayed at Hanalei Bay Resort 2 yrs ago <BR>almost to the day! Very beautiful grounds, quiet, <BR>stunning view of Hanalei Bay from their open air <BR>resturant. As you may have heard, this side of the island is much less commercial than the south side. I don't believe Lihue is more than 20-30 min. drive away, if that. Aloha Jim! We stayed there in 97 and will be going back in about a month. The place is the best value <BR>on Kauai. Book a one bedroom suite and you get a <BR>cooked to order breakfast for two.Anything you want <BR>from their menu. Also,in the afternoon two cocktails <BR>of your choice for each of you. The grounds are very <BR>beautiful. The resort was completely rebuilt after Hurricane Iniki destroyed the island in '92. The <BR>suite is great. You have a full kitchen with stove,dishwasher,refrigerator,blender plus a <BR>washer and dryer. Two TV's (which you'll never use) <BR>The suite is about 1000 square feet. Very big.The <BR>view outside our ocean view suite was of Hanalei Bay. Rent a copy of the movie South Pacific. That's <BR>where they filmed part of the movie. The sunsets <BR>were spectacular. I use Pleasant Hawaiian Holidays. <BR>They gave me a better deal overall than United <BR>Airlines Vacations while still flying on United. Hanalei Bay is wonderful ! Folks there are terrific and the accommodations were great. Next to the Princeville hotel at about half the price. You won't go wrong staying there. I also used the Pleasant Hawaiian Vacations as I found it the best price among the packages we looked through. We will stay there again for sure.
