Hanalei Bay Resort or Embassy Suites Kauai

For our October honeymoon, our travel agent as booked us at these two hotels.
1. Which is more romantic
2. Wheather seems to be an issue with the north-true or false?
3. We will be traveling to the BI and Waikiki. Is the Outrigger properties OK?
Thanks for the info.

No swimmable beach at the Embassy Suites if this is important to you. Have heard romantic things about Hanalei Bay Resort, however. Yes, Outrigger is reliable. They are not considered super luxurious, necessarily, but will be clean and have restaurants, amenities, etc.

I stayed at the Hanalei Bay Resort and suggest it. It is an older hotel slowly being sold into time shares and private condo. It is in an ideal location if you want to be in Princeville. See fodors recommendations that is how I ended up there. I would book dinner at Princeville Sheraton I think it is the Hanalei Cafe. You want the restaurant with the view. Also there is a seafood buffet on Friday nights that is good. You are going to wish you had stayed at the Princeville once you visit just remember the dollars you are saving at HBR. I think the savings are worth it.

Try to find Hide aways beach just off the parking lot at the Sheraton, concierge/ door attendant can point it out to you.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom unit, ocean view, at HRB last July. The north shore is rainier and we had some rain but the scenery is gorgeous. I can't comment on how the weather would be in October. The hotel grounds are absolutely stunning, the view of Bali Hai from the restaurant is breathtaking. I forgot the name of the restaurant but the food was very good and the price was right. (we went to the time share presentation for $100 meal) As far as the rooms, I would assume that my one bedroom condo was made into a three bedroom because the adjoining rooms were unlocked. Frankly, I wouldn't be crazy about the individual rooms, if that is the best one room accommodation they had, however, life is a trade off. I probably could have been happy in a tent over looking the ocean at HRB. We also liked the pool.
