iamq: I thought I'd try the South Shore this time. Seemed like a better bet weather-wise for November since it will undoubtedly be plenty wet here in Oregon. Staying at Whaler's Cove, in unit found on Summit Pacific website.

Thanks for clarifying stnoiz. I believe you; Summit Pacific IS an awesome website...and one that I have used. For me, it was the resurrection of very old posts that seemed strange.
