Hana or Kapalua in August- -How's the Weather?

Hana or Kapalua in August- -How's the Weather?
We've seen the monthly averages for rainfall, but can anyone tell us the typical pattern for August? A little rain in the morning and evening to be expected? I know it's the dry season, but everyone's Kapalua photos look kind of overcast, and I know Hana is on the edge of a rainforest. Last time we were in Hana one day in June it was rainy, then sunny. We've always wanted to stay in Hana, but really love the outdoors. Any help greatly appreciated.
