Hana Hale Malamalama
We're thinkng of booking a room at this place and I noticed a posting from Roxy regarding this place - it sounds great but how would Hana Kai Maui compare to it? We only have two nights but would rather spend our time enjoying the area around Hana instead of driving by. I don't think Hana Kai Maui has a 2 night min. but Hana Hale does. Thanks

I don't know if you read my actual trip report, which is here: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...1&tid=34436140
We stayed in the Bamboo Inn Villa, which has the wonderful tub on the porch. Read the report and let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for replying Roxy, I'm looking seriously at this place. Have also looked at Hale Papalani which looks like a nice place as well but after reading your trip report, it sounds like this is the place to go. I'm wondering though, we are leaving Hana to drive to Napili for 3 days which is probably a big drive - any idea how long it would take? Also, would it be easier to book our night at Mama's Fish House during the time we're at Kihei or during the time we're at Napili? Thanks

Just booked 2 nights at Hana Hale (Bamboo Inn Villa) in January based on roxy's reports - thanks roxy. When will you be in Hana baddeck? Roxy, any advice on where to stop for fresh food, seafood on the way to Hana? We may cook one night and eat at Hotel Hana the other.

Tak along a coller and some ice and stop at Nagata Store in Pa`ia for wonderful fresh fish. Check to see if they have any Kula corn also. Then stop at the Hana Ranch Market for upcoutry produce and local-grown grass and pineapple fed beef from Ulapalakua.
