halfway between Little Rock and Indianapolis

We will be driving between Little Rock and Indianpolis with 2 little ones, a very daunting task. Where would be a good place to stop (with a decent hotel) about half way between? Cairo, IL?

Cairo is not a "hotel" town. Paducah, KY has some nice places but that's out of your way. I would stop at Exit 67 on I 55 just N of I 57 which is the route you need to take to Indianapolis. It's only a mile N of your I 57 turn. Go W on E Malone a block or two to Pear Tree Inn which is a nice Drury Hotel with a good restaurant, indoor pool and free hot breakfast.

Pear Tree Inn @ 2602 East Malone, Sikeston, MO 573 - 471 - 4100.

Louisville is a bit out of your way but worth the time if you are so inclined. If you are just looking for a stopping point, not sure it will matter much...

Thank you. I had thought about Sikeston but it seemed to be even a smaller town than Cairo so I didn't think I would be able to find anything there. We will just be traveling with 2 kids under the age of 5 and will need a place to stop so they aren't in the car for 11 hours in one day. It's a long drive for 2 adults in one day!

I'd recommend either Sikeston MO or Marion, IL. Either will have several hotel options with easy access to the interstate. There's not much in Cairo.
