half way between carmel and la
 

we're taking the coastal drive from Carmel to La. Please recommend a good,reasonable hotel ot b&b or golf resort at the halfway point. Santa Barbara is nice but too close to LA.

San Simeon?

Check out Pismo Beach, San Luis Obispo or one of the beach towns by San Simeon.

Cambria is a good choice for an overnight stay - especially if you're going on a tour at Hearst Castle.<BR><BR>The Inn at Morro Bay might be a good choice for you as well, since there's a nice golf course just across the street.
