Pasta Moon would be my choice.California right?

Moonrakers Restaurant at the Light House<BR>Hotel in Pacifica would be one of my choices (only about 15 min. drive north of Half Moon Bay). Also, there is the Ritz Carlton in Half Moon Bay.

Pasta Moon is good as well as the Chart House, which I think is technically in Montara. Beautiful views of the ocean and incredible sunsets, but at Christmas, you'd have to ask about what time to come for that. Be sure to call to confirm that they are open Christmas. Otherwise, I'm sure the Ritz Carlton will have a nice menu on Christmas--most Ritz Carltons have Grill Rooms and then a Terrace Room with the Terrace being the less expensive. If they have a Dining Room, that is very expensive and has a dress code. Though we live very close, we haven't been to this Ritz yet. Moss Beach Distillery in Moss Beach is good for lunch or brunch. BTW, plan on cold, windy weather, possible high surf--Maverick Beach is one of the toughest in the world for surfing. We call HMB the "sheepdog beach"--cold and wet.
