Half Moon Bay , need awesome restaurant ETC..... THANKS!

Hi going this weekend and any must do's I must not miss? Also I need a great restauarnt to impress some clients. Last but not least, we may go to Napa, any wineries I can visit (that do not care I do not drink) or reastuarants or shops? Never been to either but cannot wait! Thanks for your time!

I love Cetrella! Excellent food, fun ambience and nice friendly service make for a real winner.

The dining room at the Ritz Carlton would also score some points with your clients.

Red Ginger is fabulous for lunch or dinner, their Tuna Tartar is exceptional. The Rogue Chefs is great fun and wonderful dining also. If the clients like cilantro, Cafe Gibralter is a well know favorite but I have not personally dined there, only because I do not like cilantro. Moss Beach Distillery with their Blue Lady Ghost is a unique view location.
Sams Chowder is Cetrellas son's new restaurant, anticipated to be equally wonderful, but the grand opening isn't until October 17, Tuesday 6 to 9. Hope you and your clients enjoy our beautiful Half Moon Bay. Oh, show them where the Maverick's Surf contest is held off Pillar Point as seen in Sony movie "Riding Giants"- Half Moon Bay Brewery (sampler tray of eight different tastes of beer is fun) has big TV's showing footage and Jeff Clark's surf board on the wall. Jeffs shop is right down the street on Harvard if big wave surfing by the best in the world is of interest to you or your clients.

I assume you are aware that the Pumpkin Festival is this weekend? This could be good or bad for you, depending on how you look at it. Good: it's fun, weather is supposed to be decent, lots of arts/crafts, pumpkins/autumn scenery abound. Bad: by far the busiest 2 days of the year in this small town and surrounding area, traffic getting there is horrendous, parking just as bad, Main Street through town is for pedestrians/vendors only, thongs of people everywhere and everything is booked-up. The worst thing is the traffic getting to/from town: there are only three routes in to town (92 from the east, 1 from the north, 1 from the south) and they are all just 2 lane highways. It's not unusual to sit in 2-hour crawling/snaking traffic just to go a few miles.

I agree, Cetrella is good (but it's on Main Street.)

I don't know if you are currently in the Bay Area, but this evening a locally produced TV show is focusing on Half Moon Bay. The program is on KPIX (CBS5) at 7pm Pacific and is called Eye On The Bay. I think this channel is also on some satellite systems.

Here is a link for the Eye On The Bay show -- program notes for today's episode will be up later today.

I was wrong, Sam's Chowder opens Friday October 20th, Tuesday October 20th is the fund raiser for the July 4th Fireworks show! I'm sorry, I was wrong.

Tuesday October 17 is for the fireworks. I need to lay down.
Sorry again.
