Hairspray on Broadway in October

We will be visiting New York City in October. Is Hairspray still on Broadway? When I looked for tickets, it looks like it is touring and I don't see NYC listed.

Yes Hairspray will still be on Broadway at the Neil Simon theater on 52nd St. Harvey Firestein will still be in it but there is a new woman in the role as Tracy. Also will be touring, starting in Baltimore in September. Go to www.ticketmaster.com for tix in NYC.

It's still playing....and selling out on Broadway. And, since October is a busy time for the theater, I suggest you get tickets now.

The new Tracy is the girl who plays Marci on the soap "One Life To Live."

I dunno... I just went to the hairspray site (hairsprayonbroadway.com) and clicked on Tickets (at ticketmaster) and all that comes up is the touring show (Boston) tickets for the whole month of October...

Also, going directly to the Ticketmaster site and finding Hairspray, it shows no tickets available at this time. Wonder if this has anything to do with the blackout?

Austin - I just went to Ticketmaster online and in the "Search" box, put "Hairspray, then 3 different Hairspray venues, including the Broadway version, came up. Just click on the Broadway version and it will give you all dates going forward from tomorrow. Of course, there's no guarantee that tix for the day or days you want are available now, since this is such a hot show, but good luck!!!

okay Sallyjo, There you go. I suggest getting your tix asap...Like now or as soon as you know exactly when you are going. It was a great show! Saw it last week!
