Hairspray
Can anyone tell me if the stand ins perform for the lead on certain days such as Wed day,Sat day or Sunday .Also.any advice on getting tickets for under $200 ea.

Thanks,Chris
|
It's my understanding that the standbys never perform unless there is an emergency. Also, we got tickets for under $100 by going directly to the theatre boxoffice while in NYC for other reasons. We did that in September for October mid-week tickets.

When do you want to go? Have you tried Ticketmaster?
|
I tried getting tickets for a mid Jan. date.I'm going to be in NYC for the week and Ticketmaster only had rear Mezz. for some shows.I'd like decent tickets and would maybe pay double.Any agencies in that range?
T-chichi

Chichi, was that for a midweek or weekend performance? I'd be surprised if midweek tickets would that scarce so far in advance.
|
I also tried Ticketmaster for a late December date.No such luck.Help!
|
Ron, late December is THE peak season for theater. So, it's not surprising that you couldn't get tickets. But, the post-holiday period is not nearly as busy, so January should be easier.

Chris,
oops, I meant to tell you that if you check the message boards at www.broadway.com and www.talkingbroadway.com they seem to have some informative posts about popular shows including posts notifying of stand in actors. Regards,CS
