Hair help
 
Hi all. I'm traveling to India, with a 3 hour stopover in London. In the past, I've found that after the flight to London, my hair looks & feels like I haven't washed it in days - flat and oily. As there are no shower facilities that I know of at Heathrow that I could use during my short time there, I'm wondering if anyone has found a tried and true way to get my hair cleaner without shampooing it?

I remember reading something about showers at Heathrow. Try going to the Europe board and do a search for showers at Heathrow. You may be pleasently surprised.

There are waterless shampoos but I don't know how well they work.

sprinkle baby powder in your hair, rub it through, then brush it out. Only works if you have a natural hairdo that doesn't need to be recurled or anything.

I believe there are shower facilities at Heathrow. My boss travels on British Air and always takes a shower at the airport. I think it's a shower for BA customers only. Their are probably other showers. You should call the airline to check. You should also post on the Europe board.

I don't think there are showers in all terminals at Heathrow and when you have been in India for about an hour your hair will return to it's limp oily self!!!! my advice put your hair up and forget about it, India is the best place to be natural, have a wonderful time! If it's your first time look out for pashminas you can get them at a good price, remember to haggle. After 4 trips there I have learnt to get good prices on alot of things.
