Hair braiding in Waikiki
 

Taking some teenage girls to Waikiki in a couple weeks. They like to get those 'half-braids' done from their forehead. Does anyone know of any places in Waikiki that do it? We are staying at the Hilton Hawaiian Village.

I've never seen that in Hawaii..they do it in Jamaica...maybe someone else knows.

They had it done on Maui last year, but it was at the hotel salon and was quite expensive.

As recent as this February staying right in Waikiki didn't see it being done on the beach.

There was one place on the main boulevard near the corner of Beach Walk where a booth was set up and a woman doing braids/bead. So fairly near the front plaza where the Royal Hawaiian shopping center stage is located.

Not particularly close to your hotel but smack dab in the center of the shopping area.

I've seen that booth, not on the beach but in front of Planet Hollywood on Kalakaua Avenue.
