Gyms in Maui?

Does anyone know if there are gyms in Maui a tourist could visit for a fee? We are not staying at a resort that has one. We are staying in Napili. (We aren't members of a gym at home; have home workout equip.)
Thanks for your help. Be there in a week!

Call the Westin - they have a gym and may admit outside folks. All hotels in Ka'anapali have gyms - give them a call.

Ihoke - There is a Gold's Gym in Lahaina. They might have a day or hourly rate. Good Luck.

As you travel east on Hwy. 30, Lahania has five exits. Take the second or third, then left onto Front Street by the ocean. You'll see Gold's.

Westin is at 2365 Ka'anapali Parkway, before exits to Lahania ... call Westin at 808-661-5764.

A jog along the beach at Ka'anapali is also an option - 3 miles RT.

With all the swimming and hiking my husband and I did in Maui, we didn't need to work out. If you're active, I wouldn't worry about it.

The Maui Muscle Sports Club is in Kahana. They are close to Napili and they advertise that they offer a discount to IQ card holders.

The Spa Moana at the Hyatt in Kaanapali also opens it's facilities to the public, for fee, of course.

The Gold's Gym charges $52 for a week pass or $20.83 for a daily pass. The one in Lahaina is not on Front Street, it is on Wainee Street, in the Lahaina Square Shopping Center, next to the Foodland.

Although you are staying in Napili, I'll post this other information for anyone else who may have the same question for other areas of the island.

There are three Gold's Gyms, in Lahaina, Wailuku and in Kihei. They are opening another one very soon someplace. IMy mind is going. f you belong to another Gold's, you need to get your visitor pass from your home gym or you will be charged the full rate. They are very strict about this. They also charge extra for some of their classes, in addition to the daily/weekly/membership fees.

There is a 24 Hour Fitness in Kahului, three Curves and a Shapemaker.

The YMCA also has some most excellent Johnny G-sanctioned Spin classes and they have reduced-rate two week trial membership. Maui Fitness Plus is in the Kihei Gateway Center on the upper highway, and they too have Johnny G Spin classes. Fitness Plus has full facilties and offers daily rates.

There are also many yoga classes offered at various location. There is a yoga studio in Pa`ia whose name escapes me at the momment and they do sunrise yoga at the park. In Kihei there are free sunset yoga classes in front of the Kihei Surfside Condos on Fridays and at Kam I on Tuesdays.

I hope this helps someone!

Aloha.

My husband used the Gold's Gym in Lahaina on our last trip to Maui in December. I believe he was able to get a weekly rate which came out to around 10 or 15 dollars/ day. His only complaint was that some mornings, especially on the weekend, they didn't open until an hour or so after the official opening time--Island time you know!1
