Guys at Bdwy tkts booth
The last few times I've been to NYC at the Tkts booth on 47th and Broadway, I noticed there are quite a few guys walking around the lines trying to sell tickets to the Lion King for 60 dollars. Are they legit?

Some are and some are not. If you are really tempted to buy, ask the person to follow you to the box office and have the box office verify if the tickets are legit.
|
Two questions immediately comes to mind that would make me skeptical: Why wouldn't these guys be selling the tickets in front of the theater where The Lion King is playing? After all, isn't that a more likely place to find people looking for tickets to that show?
|
Probably.
Not only that, if you are around TKTS at curtain time, look for people trying to unload tickets an virtually any price.

Check the ticket(s). Many are comps, which you can tell because the price is $0.

A further thought, responding to GOL's comment: Anyway selling tickets to The Lion King would know that it's a hot ticket, and would know they wouldn't have to wait until near curtain time to unload legitimate tickets.
