Gulf temp. Oct.

Does anyone know if it is warm enough to swim in the Gulf in the Tampa area in October? A pleasant temperature.

Pleasant meaning comfortable water temp. to swim in, but not freezing cold water.

Do a google search for water temps in that area.

Suzanne:

I'd give you a definite yes. I went to South Florida on the Atlantic side the 1st wk in November and I only went up to my hips but I didn't have any trouble with feeling a chill, and the water temp was in the low 80s and the ocean is usually cooler than a gulf.

What about the hotels there? Are there any with nice waterfalls?
