GTTS Road closed through June/July due to road damage???
 

Howdy! I just planned my summer trip to GNP, but also just found out that GTTS Road may be closed through July due to road damage. Apparently, several sections of the road were washed out during a storm in September. Does anyone else have any other information/updates on this??

This link looks a little out of date. It looks like its talking about improvements more than the repairs needed now. In any event, you can't predict when they'll be fixed until you know when they can start work. In Glacier, Mother Nature is in charge of the start time.

We stayed at Swiftcurrent and would have thought it a marvelous trip if there wasn't a GTTSR.

You should be able to get to parts of the road if not all.

Thanks for your responses. The website proved helpful and I also called the ranger's office directly. For the most part, we should be fine, but I think I'll hold off on purchasing my air fare for now. I did, however, secure my lodging accommodations within the park. Some of the more economical rooms are already booked, so if anyone is travelling "with me" this summer, my advice is to book your lodging soon!
