Sounds good. Except for the strip joint across the street - I didn't think I was going to have any competition entertaining the waiters...

ET aka Madeline-You did say you reserved the mezzanine, right? Just wanted to be sure.

LindaL-Are you coming to our event also? I hope so. I think that would make the count 11. What a GTG!

Hi, Paula! nice photo link!

If you scroll down to the fifth row of photos, last pic on the right you'll see a party of ten people on the mezzanine floor. It doesn't look like it could hold too many more people up there.

Yes, my reservation is for the upstairs, but will confirm everything with them several days before we actually arrive.

As for the noise, it seems like it will get louder as the evening advances. If we arrive around 5:30pm it should be OK. However, we could also ask for a table downstairs just to be close to the goodlooking wait staff and bartender!

Faina: no, they didn't fax me a wine list. Is E Tutto Qua the final choice? I don't want to have to type up any more lists if ETQ is not our choice.

starrs: the only way for you to do this properly is to COME! None of us will be in any shape to FedEX you anything after this GTG! LOL!

Linda: You're coming too? Oh goodie! Now you and toedtoes can sit at one end of the table together and eat nothing but "dolci"!

Toedtoes: Just for you - "The staff here is extremely nice (and exceptionally good looking!)" (7/15/07 poster). Don't worry, the people across the street can't hold a candle to your entertaining.

ET-Just what I thought that the mezzanine looked small. Maybe you could call them now and make sure we can get that table. From the sound of it, it will be pretty noisy down below.

I think we should make sure that everyone agrees with the restaurant so maybe take a vote again.

Out of hand!! Us? No way. I love that we have almost 250 replies for a GTG. But your right, it's hard to get through all of them.

Goodness, Faina, I was away 5 days and still no restuarant choice?

How about Palio D'Asti? You can walk downstairs!

Shanghainese-Welcome back. Yes we made a choice. E Tutto Qua on Columbus. Faina started another thread to vote but it seems like it will work out for everyone. Wish you could be there.

Thanks, Paula, I'll try my best to make it if I can wake up from my jetlag sleep.

Hi everyone,
Sorry to "eavesdrop" on your GTG plans, but I googled E'Tutto Qua to post a review and stumbled into your thread. ETQ has become one of my all time favorites. So, I decided to offer up some suggestions on the wines I had there on 10/5 with some friends. As a waitress friend of mine told me, San Francisco is not a good place to BYOB, unless it is some rare 50 year old "one of a kind bottle." The waiters will label you cheap and the attention will go down a notch. But at E' Tutto Qua, they are not snobbish and really do treat everyone with lots of love. Anyway, at ETQ we found these wines which were very good quality.
Pinot Grigio Alois,Veneto $29.
Sofia Rosé,Coppola $29.
Lambrusco(Italian sparkling Rose')$28.
Montepulciano, (red)Abruzzo $28.
Primitivo,(red)Puglia $28.
Nero d'Avola,(red)Sicily $31.
Basically a $29. bottle with 8.5% tax and 18% tip = $37.
Well worth avoiding the labelling as a BYOBer. (you can tell I am a CPA?)
Also if you are getting there at 5:30, downstairs is the place to be. Everyone wants to be downstairs where you can see whats going on and get the attention of all the cuties and it gets more fun as it starts to fill up with people, by 8pm it is packed like sardines. If you are set on the mezzanine, it can definitely hold about 30 people.
Anyway, sorry to butt in, have fun,I guess we San Franciscans just like to offer advice. I always stop tourists on the street who are scrutinizing maps and say, "need help?" ETQ is really, really good food and fun. I know a lot of "born in Italy" people who work at other Italian places in the nabe, but they all go to ETQ to eat. ENJOY!!!!

P.S. More helpful hints
This hotel is only a few steps from E' Tutto Qua and only about $140. per night, recommend it as it is safe, clean & within walking distance of shopping, great restaurant, Chinatown, wharf, etc. You will save a lot on cabfare and gasoline.

If anyone really wants to be downtown,(after 10pm streets are deserted) I recommend the Chancellor http://www.chancellorhotel.com/mapdirections2.htm

P.S.S.
There is a parking lot right on Broadway across from ETQ, flat rate $10.
Or the two garages on Vallejo between Stocton and Powell are OK and only about 4 blocks to walk. North Beach Garage & Vallejo Street Garage, see link http://www.pacificparkonline.com/locations.html
If I can, I am gonna send some of my cute single male friends over to check on you at ETQ. I think they would thank me, you all sound like fun.

P.S.S.S.
Forgot to mention, if you get to North Beach aroung 5pm there are still a few meters around the nabe and you do not have to feed meters after 6pm, so just put in enough to get you to 6pm. But BEWARE, do not park on Broadway as they tow all cars from this street after 8pm on Saturday.

I'm topping this because it contains the menu items for ETQ.

P.S. A friend told me today about a really nice Italian restaurant on the corner of Columbus that she tried the other weekend. She's pretty positive it was ETQ and gave it a strong hands up.

Topping again for the menu - it's down towards the bottom.
