Sherri -- great idea for the cooler. I think we'll try it. Have you had any trouble checking the cooler at the airport?
Thanks for all of the suggestions so far. Let me know if anyone thinks of anything else!

No, we have never had any problems checking our cooler on. They always ask if we have it filled with ice, etc. I just tell them that it contains various dry goods and they are fine with it. Taping it up with duct tape works great (ours is about as tall as a liter bottle and has a handle). Just remember the roll of tape for the return trip - I always have food that I have not used to bring home again.

What size is the condo? Would you mind sharing the price of it?

Agree that the Star Market in Honokawai is closer to Noelani and also about same prices as Safeway. The market in Napili is the Napili Market and it is a bit more expensive and not as much selection as Star Market. We liked the fish market in Honokawai too. The employees are very helpful and the fish is fresh. Have fun!

to Anna1013 who lives in Maui, is The Mahana an okay place for kids ages 9 and 11? I'm seriously debating The Mahana vs. Papakea and can't make up my mind! Any feedback is appreciated.
