Greetings from Yesterday's Las Vegas GTG
 

Faina Z asked me to send her regards to all of you out there in Fodor-land. I had the pleasant opportunity to meet her here in Sin City yesterday. She is here on a short vacation and we were able to connect for lunch at Margaritaville, which was lots of fun. Sorry no one else from Fodors was able to meet with us, but we had a great time. If you ever get the chance to go to a GTG - do it - it's lots of fun to actually meet people we correspond with online on a regular (or not-so-regular) basis.

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day and said a prayer (or two, or ...) for our troups as they are still in harm's way.

My son (who recently returned from Iraq and is out of the Army) is currently in Las Vegas and happy to report that several people have bought him drinks to thank him for his service! He said it was the best Memorial Day he ever had!

Hello bashfull, I and my family sure did say prayers and of course remembered our fallen heroes this weekend. Postal, how nice that your son was given the recognition that he justly deserves. Hopefully no other mility person will ever have to go through what so many of our Nam Vets did when returning home. Best wishes to you and your son..and a big thank you from me.

I'm betting that she's been on the local news for stealing some old person's Rascal by now! My feet both needed rehab after three days..
