Greenwich Village Hotels
 

We booked the Omni Berkshire for $250 a night, which by comparison seems like a great price, but we were hoping to stay in the village and were wondering if anyone can recommend a hotel that would be around the same price. It seems like everything's well over $300.

What hotels are you looking at in the Village?

Perhaps the problem is there aren't many hotels in the village. A lot also depends on when you're going.

If you don't mind being further south there are more options in Soho. There's also a newish place the Clarion Solita that is getting decent reviews on tripadvisor.

The Four Points Sheraton Chelsea is just north of the village.

Thanks for the responses. We're going the last wkend in April. The only places we looked into in/near the village were the ones recommended to us, Soho Grand (obviously not in the village) and Mercer Hotel. They were both close to $400/night. We're fine w/ staying not right IN the village, we just want to be able to walk to and from places in the evening.

The only really nice hotels I know downtown are the Soho Grand, the Mercer and maybe 60 Thompson. There's a Hampton Inn NY Chelsea that gets decent reviews but nothing glamorous.

Maybe check the Maritime, also in Chelsea with tiny rooms but could be fun. The Inn on 23 st. is another possibility but it's an INN.

There are some b and bs in the village. Abingdon Guest House is getting some recent complaints for being musty dusty but it's right in the village. There's also a place right near it listed under Rooms to let on tripadvisor and there's a place called West 11 st Townhouse. These are all quirky places.
