Greensboro

Another college visit related question! My son and I are getting into Greensboro airport about 8PM and are staying somewhere in the Guilford College area - can't think where and i'm too lazy to go upstairs and look at the trip folder. Anyway, if we're able to hold off on dinner until we get to Greensboro, where would be a good place to eat in the airport/Guilford area? Low key, fairly fast service, something more interesting than burgers/steaks - unless they are to die for!

Just saw the message I posted last night showed up this morning. It didn't last night - don't know why - so I thought I had hit "preview", which I seem to like to do. Sorry for the double post!

Not far from the airport is the Green Valley Grill. They have a reasonably broad menu (you can probably check it out on line). The service is very quick and the food is quite good.
Are you visiting WFU?

Near the coliseum is Ghassan's. Killer steak and cheese sandwiches. More of a lunchtime place though.

There's a good Greek restaurant not far away.

Panera Bread is a couple of miles away. Good sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.

Curious - to me Greensboro isn't so big that "staying somewhere in the Guilford College area" is too vague! I have to admit I haven't been to Greensboro in 12 years, but surely it hasn't grown that much?

We both like Greek - can anyone supply a name? I will also check out the Green Valley Grill. Thanks for the help. No, not Wake - Guilford College, athough with their recent problems my son is not as excited about it as he was. Again, thanks for your help!

check out Natty Greenes downtown(brewery and cafe) and Te Quiera (sp?) a family mexican place in a plaza off Guiliford. Both are casual, fun, and tasty.

bellhouse,

All I said was if you are too lazy to go upstairs and get your trip folder, I'm too lazy to tell you any information!

No problem.

I had my son check this out. After looking at the menu, he decided on Natty Greenes - provided I make some pastitso while he's home. Thanks all!

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately we were both delayed by the Feb. 13th snowstorm (DH didn't get home for two more days!), so ended up at Applebee's at 10PM - just glad something was open and we could get something to eat!
