Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA

I have been looking at the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg, VA. Does anyone know anything about this place? It looks like a lot of fun for my kids (8 and 12) but I'm not sure if it is worth the cost.

Thanks for your help!

I live in Williamsburg and will try to tell you what I know from people I know staying there.

Kids love it! The water park is fun and the games are amazing. The rooms have plasma screen tv's and are fun. It is very expensive - so I don't know that I would go there in the summer or when local water park, Water Country USA, is open. The food is very expensive. One of my colleagues had 4 of her grandchildren stay there over Christmas and they had a ball for the one night they were at Great Wolf. Hope this helped a tiny bit ...

Thanks for your help! We are planning a trip in March for a couple of nights. I think I'll give it a try!

Stayed there with 200 eighth graders last year (and will do it again this year) and they had a great time. The water park is quite large and there is plenty to keep them busy. The arcade was also popular although not as much as the watr park.

The place itself is huge. I got plenty of exercise while monitoring the kids. The rooma re really big and there are a variety of options. I was in a basic room and there was plenty of space. One of the other teachers was put in a 2 bedroom suite which was amazing.

Don't worry, we won't be there in March!

I have also heard that the food is very expensive so you may want to find other options. People say good things about NY Deli around the corner on Richmond Rd. You will be very close to Pierces BBQ which has great southern BBQ.
