great vacation spot in late Sept, eastern U.S.
 

Parents weekend in Philly in late September, then planning weeklong vacation somewhere interesting. Willing to drive 0-5 hours distance. Golf, tennis, relaxing, sightseeing. Any interesting suggestions?

wintergreen resort in north western Virginia- great tennis, golf, good spa, pool, horseback riding, hiking, driving the blue ridge mountains.
