Great Sunday Brunch in Downtown Chicago

Will be staying near the Miracle Mile. Would appreciate suggestions for a sumptuous (possibly with a view) Sunday brunch in that general area. Thank you.

Are you thinking of a buffet? If so, go to the Drake Hotel. Otherwise, RL has a nice brunch and the Signature Room (95th floor of the Hancock) has the best view. See listings on metromix.com

P.S. It's called the Magnificent Mile

I had the best brunch EVER at Bistro 110. They had live jazz, terrific Bloody Marys, French Onion soup that was divine...I could go on. No view, really, but the food is scrumtious. Trust me.

we also went to bistro 110 as recommended her and were not disappointed.

it is near water tower, there is a free trolley stop across the street. reservations a must. they do have a website. but it is not a buffet. very nice ordered from a list of menu options. all were delicious.

they have a great valet parking rate, too, for those of you coming from outside the city. too

my family lives near chicago and had never gone, and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and good value.

the jazz there is VERY authentic. these louis armstrong followers must be some of the last ones left.

the nice thing was the jazz moved to all the rooms, so there wasn't a bad seat.
even the young children loved it.

the normal lunch brunch at john hancock is not the best quality, but i have never been on a sunday.

we prefer just to have a drink there after whatever we are doing to unwind, as the views are not to be missed.

Yes, and what's funny is I couldn't get them on phone, so my DH made a reservation for me at opentable.com from Louisville,KY lol! I was IN Chicago and couldn't get through.

Thanks for the suggestions. Sorry about the mistake....in Minneapolis there is an area known as the Miracle Mile -- guess my mind just wasn't in Chicago yet.

Try the 95th, the restaurant on the 95th floor of the John Hancock building.

Miami also has the Miracle Mile.

I second The Drake Hotel. It is the old classic hotel feeling. Just lovely.

I had the best brunch of my life at the Ritz-Carlton in Chicago. I don't know if they still offer it, but it was over the top. Pricey, but worth every $$$
