Have only been to Laurel Falls in GSMNP as of now, but plan on going to the falls you mentioned, plus others. There are also many, many falls near Franklin, some right alongside the road, some with hiking required, some with parking lots with just a short walk. Feel free to email me and I can send you a link to all these falls, among others. [email protected]. Put "waterfalls" in subject line.

We've done all of the ones you mentioned. Mouse Creek is beautiful & a simple hike and worth the drive to the NC side if you're staying in TN. The others were okay. I wish I could remember the name of the falls near Tremont. Not to many people know about it but it is well worth the hike (not too long or strenuous) Ask where the trailhead is at the visitor center at Tremont. Abrams Falls in Cave Cove is also worthwhile.

It's Spruce Flats Falls - go to the Great Smoky Mountain Institute in Tremont for the trailhead. Also check this out:

Hi maj,
When we visited SMNP we sought out the waterfalls... made for a great time.
We really enjoyed the drive to Cherokee and Mingo Falls... a world of it's own. The falls were nice and tall and my boys (DH $ son) climbed to the top (wild hearts as they are) and had a great time scaring the heck out of me at the bottom.
We had fun stopping in the shops in Cherokee and also remember our son enjoying a shave ice at the entrance to the park where Mingo Falls was... the owner was extrememly friendly and we really enjoyed it... love mingling w/ the local people wherever we travel.
Enjoy.
