GREAT Short-Term Apartment Rental Agency in NYC

I while ago I posted various messages looking for a short term (one month) apartment rental in NYC for my parents. I received some great advice -- during one of my cross-referencing extravaganzas, I came across www.nyhabitat.com. Well, I visited their site, found a 1000 sq. foot apt. (doorman, concierge, etc.) on the UWS for about $2,200 LESS than many others I had seen. Great location (across from Lincoln Center), great service from the agency and wonderful, informative and helpful dealings with the owner. We dealt with Christoph at NY Habitat and it was a pleasure. I only wish it was this easy to rent an apt. in NYC long-term! If you have the need, I strongly recommend them. Any questions, please post.

Thanks for the information, Michelle. But could you be more specific about the price? If that was $2200 less than the $3500 to $4500 by many other companies I'd be excited, but if it was $2200 less than the $10,000 mentioned by some, I'm not interested at all.

I'm still looking at Empire State Properties with nice one bedrooms in the $3500 range, right next to the Michelangelo Hotel midtown. How did this compare? And out of curiosity, could the place have been the Phillips Club??

Hi Patrick. My apologies for lack of specifics. I looked at many apartments (approximately 12) and this apartment, by far, was the best value. I never made it to the building next to the Michelangelo as my parents indicated they did not want Midtown. Somewhat comparable apartments on the UWS and UES were going for $5700 to $6200. I got this apartment for an even $4000. If you're familiar with the Lincoln Plaza buildings it's the second building going North across from Lincoln Center. Please let know if you have additional questions.
