Great Resort for 40th Birthday trip with couples
 

We are planning a 40th birthday trip with friends. There will be the four of us for sure, but there is a good chance our group could get as large as 10. We are looking for a fun, relaxing and wonderful place to stay. One of my friends has traveled a lot and is a self professed hotel snob. We are traveling in March. We live in NC and are trying to keep travel time to a minimum which is why we are now focused on Florida. We went to Bermuda on our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. We considered going back, but with the travel time that works best for everyone, March would be too cold. We are planning a Wednesday - Sunday trip. Other ideas that have been considered are St. John, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico & Mexico. Again, we were concerned that we would spend as much time traveling as we we would enjoying our vacation! Is there somewhere in Florida that would give us the tropical experience without the travel time? Also, I have not checked Spring Break schedules for Colleges, but we are hoping to avoid all of that!

Check out the Pelican Grand Beach Hotel. Also, not many spring breakers stay at high end resorts---which is probably what your "hotel snob" friend is looking for.

Naples is the place for your group... beautiful beaches and several resort choices... also Key West or South Beach as options...
