Great hikes in Telluride

We have 4 days to spend in Telluride. Could you tell me of your favorite moderate hikes. Also restaurants and horseback riding?

Is it easy to get to the airport in Montrose?

Thanks, Shaynak

A good, easy hike is the trail along the San Miguel River that goes from town park clear out on the valley floor. There is a short, steep hike to Cornet Creek Falls that I like. I agree on Bear Creek, that is a must do. For a little bigger challenge, try Jud Weibe or Bridal Veil Falls.

For horseback riding, I like MiniPonies, but if you want to meet a real old west character, try Ride with Roudy (the name says it all.)

Mountain Limo and Telluride Express both offer shuttles back and forth to the Montrose airport.

There is some nice hiking near Lizard Head. I would check out chowhound.com for restaurants.

Lizard Head is a very well know spot, it is on CO SR 145 south of Telluride. It is a loop, but you can do a walk out and back too.

I did get the email, I am trying to find someone for you. Will be in touch.

DebitNM-
I think I found out that it may be much less expensive just to rent a car. I just thought about that this morning.
Thanks!

I thought there was a reason you didn't want to [or couldn't] rent a car. I should have mentioned it to you, but thought you would have considered that first!
