Great escapes travel club
Has anyone ever heard of this travel club ?
You pay a fee up front, then yearly fees, and you are suppose to get great deals on travel. The parent company is Advantage. We went to one of their presentations, and it sounds too good to be true.

You naswered your own question.
When it comes to travel, if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
|
I would like to know also. I also got a call from them.
|
I don't know anyone who joined, but I think the parent company is Advantage. If that helps with your research
With all of the discount vacation sites (expedia, priceline, hotwire, travelocity, etc) it doesn't make sense to pay to belong to a discount club.
|
xxx,

I agree with what you said. They are charging $7,000 to join. But you are spot on that there are many clubs that provide same service for no charge. So thanks for opening our eyes.
|
Did you say $7,000? And you're actually considering it? Wow, send ME that $7,000 and I'll do all your travel planning for you!
|
Yes. They are a complete rip off. The travel is at full retail or worse. They say they offer thousands of condominium locations, but most are never available. They say you can use them to exchange your timeshare for condominiums, but it is almost impossible to do. And for all this you pay over $5000 for membership and then another $250 a year for annual dues. Buyer beware!!!!
