Great cheap eats
 

Going to NM at the end of the month w/ cousins. We don't like to waste a lot of time or $ on meals, and would like to hear about good, cheap eats--- all kinds--- in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and possibly Taos: Places where the locals eat. Food stands with or without patio seating. Deli food.

If you haven't done so already -- I would post this on Chowhound.com -- that site rocks!

Last summer when I was there, we ate lunch twice at the taco cart on the plaza. Very good and very cheap. You can sit on the grass and eat and people watch.

The Frontier on Central across from UNM is a local classic.
