Great BBQ in Houston

Can anyone recommend a place in or around Houston that offers great BBQ for a New Yorker's first trip to Texas?

Second Rich that Goode is the flagship barbecue of Houston. Rudy's BBQ from Austin recently opened in Spring. If you are north, worth a try:

We like Pappas. Goode Company is probably the most well-known. If you're in the boonies, Hinze's is very good. You have to get brisket if you're in Texas. There used to be a place called Otto's, where the Bushes got their BBQ, but I read that it was closing down. They had really good barbecue too.

I forgot one; we tried Pizzitola's recently, and it was very good.

Here are a couple of websites we use to find restaurants and reviews:

Also Luling City BBQ on Richmond Ave. [Yes, Otto's used to be the best IMO but the location was bought for a new building and they decided to retire].

Otto's on Memorial is still open, and they have three other locations. I never liked Otto's all that much, but for those of you who do, it's still around. The building was supposedly sold or they lost their lease or something, but they are still there at Memorial and Reinicke.

Wow, really? That's weird. I remember reading they were retiring and selling the business. I liked their burgers too.
