Grand Tetons in July

We are planning a trip in July probably flying into Jackson.Have passed through area before on tour of several National Parks but want to spend more time here this time. Have a couple of weeks to explore so thinking of going on into Idaho before returning to UK. Is it worth it or should we go into Montana instead? Any suggestions.

The Grand Teton is definitely worth your time, at least a couple days. It is truly a magnificent national park, one of our favorites. Hking around Jenny Lake area is must.

Thanks Howard for prompt reply. This is my first attempt on a talk site and my message wasn't very clear. We loved Grand Tetons when we visited 5 years ago and plan to spend about a week around that National Park and Jackson Hole area. Its what we should do for our other week that we are undecided about. We don't want to visit Yellowstone again except maybe to pass through to somewhere else and have been told Idaho is worth a visit but don't know the best places.

Since you've already been to the Grand Teton, then (and even though it's my favorite), I would recommend going to Idaho and Montana instead....unless, of course, you plan on returning the US often and can take in these areas later on. If that was the case, then, hey, return to the Grand Teton!

I love going up to Glacier National Park in northern Montana and even across the border to Waterton, Canada. The scenery in Glacier is AWESOME. As much as I love Yellowstone, it is much prettier.
