Grand Teton/Yellowstone Airfare

Can anyone offer suggestions on the least expensive plane tickets to the Yellowstone area from any of the east coast airports between BWI & Newark? Thanks! Trying for 9/04.

I can't give you any specific information, but I can tell you that finding bargain airfares to airports in that area is, from my experience, very difficult to impossible!

If you don't mind the drive (300+ miles), you can fly to SLC for about $200 roundtrip.

bd is right, but it's an obvious tradeoff. For me, I'd rather spend the extra bucks for the flight than spend the time (and money) driving a rental car over a great distance.

I was just checking into this last night. From Durango, a ticket into Jackson on United costs more than $1100 for mid-August. The equivalent ticket to Bozeman, also very near Yellowstone, is less than $400. Both flights involve United Express commuter planes connecting through Denver. I think it just has to do with popularity. Bozeman is actually slightly farther from Denver than Jackson, but fewer people have heard of Bozeman.

Try flights into Idaho Falls.
