Grand Teton NP - marriage proposal

I'm thinking of proposing marriage to my girlfriend in the beginning of July in Grand Teton NP. I've heard the park is has some great beauty without the crowds of other western NPs. I've done some research and found the Wildflower Inn as a great bed & breakfast for this romantic weekend. Has anyone stayed there and could comment? Also, I'd like to propose atop a nice hike with maybe overlooking a waterfall. Any suggestions as to good hikes? Lastly, I'd like to go whitewater rafting (if that's possible). Can anyone recommend rafting companies or rivers. Thank you.

You could hike up Signal Mountain. It's one of the best places to view the Tetons but no waterfall. If you take the boat across Jenny Lake, there's a trailhead there that will take you past a beautiful waterfall.

Eric,

We stayed at Wildflower Inn in '99 and would return in a heartbeat. The Inn is lovely (as well as romantic). The owners are terrific and will be a good resource for local touring and/or restaurant advice.
I think the waterfall above Jenny Lake would be a perfect place to propose!
Don't do it. Marriage is like giving up your rights. Take a couple buddies to the Tetons instead, and have a great time!

Another vote for the falls on the hike up to Inspiration Point on Jenny Lake. Don't let mosquitos spoil the moment (they're the biggest I've ever seen anywhere). Use bug spray before you go. Geez, can you tell I'm a mom who's been married for a long time???

I agree with everybody. There is a spot on the road up Signal Mountain (actually a lateral moraine left by the glaciers) where you have the greatest view of the Teton Range that I know of. We were there once and a wedding was in progress . I would have loved to have seen what the photographer did to frame the couple against that world class view. Hidden Falls above Jenny Lake is ok, too. But the view from Signal Mountain is a one of a kind. I only know of one place in the lower 48 and the Canadian Rockies that can rival it.
