Grand Hyatt San Francisco
Hello!

Can anyone tell me anything about the Grand Hyatt San Francisco.? I just got it on Priceline for $61 a night which seems like a good deal. The location looks pretty good from what I can tell.
|
It's a very large, impersonal business hotel, like most Hyatts.
If you've stayed at a Hyatt or business Marriott, you know what to expect.
|
$61. what a great rate. I stayed @ a Grand Hyatt in Seattle, rated the same as SF, and it was the nicest hotel I've ever been in.
|
Stayed there for a few days before Christmas last year. It is nicer than your average Hyatt and the location overlooking Union Square couldn't be beat. Of course last year that was a major construction zone, but I believe the square is now all finished. Our "standard" room was exceptionally large (unless we were unknowingly upgraded).
What a great rate!!!! If you have time before you go and you're not now a member, go on the Hyatt website and join for free their Gold Passport club for some freebies and possible upgrade.

The Grand Hyatt in Seattle and the GH in SF are night and day different.
For one, the Seattle GH is only a year old, and was built to much higher standards than Hyatts from the 1980's (SF).

The Grand Hyatt is showing its age. Union Square is no longer a great location as it once was. It is not the best place to be walking around in after dark.
